In my research, the town short term rental ordinance states that these uses must be regulated so they do not change the character of Irvington's residential neighborhoods, and so they remain compatible with surrounding homes. My concern is that a non owner occupied short term rental next door would introduce frequent turnover of guests, increased traffic on or during quiet street with limited parking, and potential noise that could alter the residential character that many of us value, and one of the main reasons I recently purchased my home in this particular neighborhood.

3:55 The ordinance also provides that the town may consider the reasonable objections of neighboring property owners when a guy of any conditional use permit. As a nearby resident, I respectfully ask that my concerns be taken into consideration in determining whether this proposed use is appropriate for this location. Irvington's term and appeal come largely from its stable residential neighborhoods and sense of community, which drew me to the area. I hope the council will carefully weigh how additional short term rentals may affect the surrounding residents and the long term care of this neighborhood.

And I want to address and talk about the storage of said equipment. It's full. If you want to change your mind, have to step outside. It's not doing us very well. I would love to see us move to a larger facility, one that is above ground level so it doesn't flood. In that vein, I took it upon myself to do a little research.

If you were to take and get the same amount of space from the new pro storage in Kilmarnock, you'd have to get two ten by twenties.

We will also be coordinating with the VIA regarding the time gap between the close of the farmers market and the start of the parade to explore whether food trucks could extend their hours or if additional food trucks could be brought in during that time.
